About Team Taliyah

Right now, childhood cancer research is facing a devastating blow. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) — the largest public funder of medical research — has halted new cancer research grants due to recent federal budget cuts. For childhood cancer, which already receives a fraction of national research funding, this decision is catastrophic. Most pediatric cancer breakthroughs don’t come from big pharmaceutical companies — they come from small, mission-driven institutions like the Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute (CC-TDI). And more often than not, they’re funded not by governments, but by families who’ve faced cancer firsthand. CC-TDI is dedicated to developing safer, more effective treatments designed specifically for children — not just downsized versions of adult therapies. But without critical funding, that progress is at risk. We’re raising money to keep this life-saving research alive. Because every child deserves a fighting chance — and that starts with science, not silence.
