About The Rhabdo Avengers Initiative

This page is a portal of support for anyone who has the courage to be a Rhabdo Avenger to help enable the Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute’s (cc-TDI) efforts to find better treatments to ensure rhabdomyosarcoma is no longer a threat to life. All fundraising efforts directed here will go towards drug discovery research for rhabdomyosarcoma. 

The first targeted fundraising effort by the Rhabdo Avengers is the preclinical testing of the most impactful drug from a screen of 640,000 compounds. This massive screen was a thousand times bigger than all compounds tested against rhabdo to date. The preclinical validation of a compound/class of compounds (and their biomarkers) will be translated to cooperative group clinical trials as an upfront targeted therapy and/or maintenance therapy.
