The Brittney Project

Brittney is forever a 5-year-old girl who was kind, funny and lit up the room. In her honor and memory we are supporting this embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma pilot research project.

About the research:

With Novartis, the cc-TDI lab screened 640,000 drugs against rhabdomyosarcoma and found 3 very embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma-specific compounds. The next step of this project is to validate the three compounds on a broad range of different human children's individual embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma cell lines across different dose ranges, and then to move from Petri dish studies to studies that include a tissue context, as is present in a human child's cancer. This project will be updated monthly for supporters.
